LEARN ENGLISH WITH SONGS, A BETTER WAY TO IMPROVE YOUR ENGLISH SKILLS.

How do you usually learn your English everday? Here are 2 examples of the learning styles. Let's examine them to see to which style you belong.
1. You sigh and nod your head in disappoitment when you look at all the boring home work, the old cassette tape and the thick dictionary. you open your exercise to do some work but your mind is travelling many miles away. Then you turn on the cassette tape to listen to the conversations and wonder what the hell they are about. The more you repeat the tape, the more confused you become. Finally, you give up everything, thinking that learning English is a torment.
2.You turn on the CD to listen to your favorite English pop song, sing along to it. When you sing, you practice your pronunciation, intonation and accent too. You also think of the new vocabulary in the song. Song after song, finally, you realize that your listening skill as well as your pronunciation is better than 3 days ago. you also remember some new words from the song. I think there is nothing more interesting and relaxing in this world than learning English in that way.
So, why don't you try learning English as the second way? You just need to spend a little bit time every day to learn a new song. And I bet you will very surprised with the result.

^-^i agree with you that listen to the English songs is interesting. However, It's rather difficult to hear all the words of the song. With a strange song, it's a chanllenge to gasp the content as well as the new words. In my opinion, whenever you do hear English songs perfectly, you're excellent in English.
I think, we should speak English in the class time as much as possible. Moreover, we should listen to the tape (the same your idea)to imitate the pronunciation and the intonation of the native speakers."Try your best, you will get the best". English reserves for one who is interesting in. ^-^

it seems to be a good idea.. But i don't think that all of us have enough time to sing along a song usually. i think it's a kind of entertained rather than informative

whao, i totally agree with you that it's such a good way in studying English. You know, there was one foreign man who came to work in Vietnam and do you know how he studied Vietnamese? He went to the karaoke and he studied there by singing several Vietnamese songs, and after all, he could speak Vietnamese as fluently as the Vietnamese do. Well, English is also a language just as Vietnamese, so I think they are listening to songs, watching Englsih movies which help us improve our English very much
