JOURNAL FOR THE ROLE PLAY

Today is really an exciting day. We have to finish an important part of the mid term test- the role play. As you know, it's a difficult part because we not only need to think about the interesting script but also have to act naturally. And writing a script is not easy at all because we need to apply the expressions we learnt into the script correctly and suitably. So, each of us must think about the script and then present it to the other members and the script that many of us vote will be chosen. And luckily, my script is chosen. I really admire the some of the other groups because of their humorous and interesting scripts. They have sense of humour, so the script they wrote is really attracted me and all class from the beginning to the end. Now, let me show our group's feeling about the plays we saw.
- First, Egirls with the play " Cinderelly": the script is good, humorous and unpredictable. At the beginning, I thought that it would be the second Cinderela, but it wouldn't. Nghi acts Cinderely, a strong, tricksy and very lovely girl. It's totally different to the traditional Cinderela. It brought us new feelings. Thuy is a humorous and a little bit crazy fairy. We couldn't stand laughing when seeing the fairy flew softly and especially when she tell that prince is Bi Rain but then Luc appeared. Luc, Trang, Tien acted very well. Trang and Tien surprised me because they act as immoral characters. It's not easy at all to act that kind of people but they did impressively. So, I think you will receive good score.
- The hat: impressive music and sound. But I think you shouldn't put a lot of music into your play because it can make people not concentrate on it. Hiep is funny because he always said that:" I'm a handsome beast" and said hello with the two fingers. The other members also acted naturally and I think you made a progress because you overcame the stage fright. Hiep and Thuong usually speak with a low voice but today, I think they spoke loudly enough. Well done.
- Dathahola: Your performance is good. Thao is really cool in that costume, like cowboy. Hong acted very well because I can see that she put all her feeling in her character and she almost cried. Dan and Lai also did their best. But I feel your script is a little bit hard to understand because the play ended rather sudddenly. But don't worry. You did your best, and it's the most important.
- Our group-Sakura paradise: Unlike other groups, our group choose a modern play talking about the relationship between mother and daughter. Their conflict is a common problem in many families nowadays. Although it doesn't have many humorous situations, I think it have many good lessons. We spent a lot of time to practise and I think we can be proud because we tried our best.
- 4leafclover: in my opinion, your script is very good. It's extremely humorous.I can see you put a lot of effort to prepare it. Ngoc is really impressive as a naughty pig with surprising crying. How can you do that? It's great. Trang is good as lovely aerobic pig. The other members also acted well, too. I like the way you act and sing. Especially, the music is an important part of your play. I like them, "tay du ki" song, "Bao Cong" song, etc. It made the play become attracted.
- How to smile to life: Oanh acted very well and your pronunciation is really good. Mai is often nervous when speaking in public but today you acted naturally. Of course you have some mistakes but don't worry because it is the common mistakes when people have to speak and act in public. We also have mistakes, too. Quan made us laugh a lot as step mother. And Cuong is funny when he said: " But's speaking." Good job guys. I wish we could see your ending because your play is really interesting.

LEARN ENGLISH WITH SONGS, A BETTER WAY TO IMPROVE YOUR ENGLISH SKILLS.

How do you usually learn your English everday? Here are 2 examples of the learning styles. Let's examine them to see to which style you belong.
1. You sigh and nod your head in disappoitment when you look at all the boring home work, the old cassette tape and the thick dictionary. you open your exercise to do some work but your mind is travelling many miles away. Then you turn on the cassette tape to listen to the conversations and wonder what the hell they are about. The more you repeat the tape, the more confused you become. Finally, you give up everything, thinking that learning English is a torment.
2.You turn on the CD to listen to your favorite English pop song, sing along to it. When you sing, you practice your pronunciation, intonation and accent too. You also think of the new vocabulary in the song. Song after song, finally, you realize that your listening skill as well as your pronunciation is better than 3 days ago. you also remember some new words from the song. I think there is nothing more interesting and relaxing in this world than learning English in that way.
So, why don't you try learning English as the second way? You just need to spend a little bit time every day to learn a new song. And I bet you will very surprised with the result.

THE READING CLASS

The Reading class on 26/3 is really interesting. Ms Hoa told us many funny stories about the stereotype, a fixed idea about a type of peson or thing, which is often not true in reality.Especially, I like the story about "The sinking ship", it's really amusing. The story is about the ship which was shinking and the captain was very anxious because he didn't know how to persuade the passengers to jump out of the ship to save it from sinking. A sailor decided to take this responsibility. First, he talked to the Russian: " Jumping out of the ship is a revolutionary action". The Russian who always love revolution jumped out of the ship immediately. Next, he talked to the German: "Jumping out of the ship is an order", so they also did what he said. Then, he talked to the English: "Jumping out of the ship is a new sport". The English love sport very much, so they also did it. Afterwards, he met the France and talked to them: "Jumping out of the ship is an action proving your romantic love." And can you guess what happened? All of the passengers did what the tailor said and the ship was saved. The story talked about the characteristics of nations in the world that everyone believe that is true. But it's often not true at all. So, it is our "stereotype". After her stories, I find this word easy to understand. Hei, there is also a funny thing I want to tell you. When the teacher was teaching, a "beautiful voice" of someone in other class singing loudly made all the class feel very humorous. So, do you agree with me that the reading class is really exciting?
