THOUGHTS OF THE LAST PRESENTATION

The last presentation was rather smooth but too long- about 3hours.I felt too hungry and I'm sure that the other friends did, too.But it doesn't the matter. The problem is that how all groups worked.
First,"Four-leaf clover"group: each member speaked fluently, but they didn't get the listeners'attention much. They just invited two persons to stand in front of the class to practise one situation.
Second ,"How to smile to life" group: They didn't speak as fluently as "Four-leaf clover"group. And just two members of this group speaked in fronf of the classs.Although they got more attention from the listeners than "Four-leaf clover"group, the way they speaked was not really exciting. They asked some friends to practise some very simple expressions.
Third, "Sakuraparadise"group: They got more listeners' attention than two previous groups, and the way they presented was really exciting. But they had problem with the key of the excercise at the end of the presentation.
Next,"Dathahola"group : their pronunciation was rather good .The way they presented was also exciting and the pictures were so lovely. But, just two members of this group speaked.
And "E-girls" group: They speaked fluently.they also attracted attention from listeners. But,the way they presented wasn't really exciting.
Finally,"G7hat"group: they speaked too softly. But their preparation for the power point was really careful. Most of the people liked three exciting clips. But they didn't prepare the key for each clip.
However, all of the groups had the same mistakes : they just used the expressions in the textbook and sometimes they used them wrong in grammatical function.

Last week we have an opportunity to debate some topics .I think it's difficult but exciting. Do you see it's familiar to ''KET NOI TRE'' programmar on VTV6? Our class were separated two big groups with two leader. Each group was one side of debate .The topic for debate is very interesting, for example: how important the breakfast is or most of conversation in chat rooms is just rubbish, isn't it? All members of each group have to work together to find out evidences to protect their group's oppinion as well as object other group. However, there is a problem to be existed: just two leader and some of students who speak english well join to debate; the rest of class is silent. It's not good. Mr Binh also realize that, but he didn't do anything to change. I feel that lesson a bit boring.

WHY DON'T WE STUDY INTO GROUPS?

We know that "study group"is the effective wayto improve our study result. It is not only good for you but also good for your partners.Especially in speaking, you can practise your speaking with your friends .You can improve your pronunciation or intonation yuorself and so do the others.Although many people think "study group is just gossip",it is necessary toyour speaking! You can talk with your friends in english without hesitation. It is really good for you!

HOW TO DEBATE WELL?

HOW TO DEBATE WELL?
In the speaking class, "debate" is always exciting. However, will it still be exciting if there is someone silent during the debate?.It is likely to be boring. So,to me,the debate will be more exciting if:
First, about the topic for debate, the teacher should arrange a "cool"topic.I mean the topic for debate should be familiar with everyone .They can understand what they will say more clearly and enthusiastic!
Second is also the most impportant, the student should be more confident. The teacher should encourage them by asking them "What do you think about this?"more freqently.Because maybe there are some students alawys quiet ,if the teacher doesn't encourage them ,they will be alawys quiet!
Finally,we should use "micro" when debating. This makes us hear well what the others are saying!

Mr Binh teaches us speaking subject this semester. At first,I think he's very strict because I met him when I took final exam last semester. But it's him who makes me think again. He teaches differently from Ms Hoa,the teacher taught us before. It seems that there is other atmosphere in our classroom (may be it is ''noisier'' , not quiet) .In class, we have many opportunities to practise speaking English. He said that the most important we have to remember is that speaking a lot,not fearing to make mistakes. However,he also requested us to do many things such as working together in four student group, writing journal in blog after each lesson.Especially,we not only speak english well but also act as a true situation .I think these difficult to do.

LEARN ENGLISH WITH SONGS, A BETTER WAY TO IMPROVE YOUR ENGLISH SKILLS.

How do you usually learn your English everday? Here are 2 examples of the learning styles. Let's examine them to see to which style you belong.
1. You sigh and nod your head in disappoitment when you look at all the boring home work, the old cassette tape and the thick dictionary. you open your exercise to do some work but your mind is travelling many miles away. Then you turn on the cassette tape to listen to the conversations and wonder what the hell they are about. The more you repeat the tape, the more confused you become. Finally, you give up everything, thinking that learning English is a torment.
2.You turn on the CD to listen to your favorite English pop song, sing along to it. When you sing, you practice your pronunciation, intonation and accent too. You also think of the new vocabulary in the song. Song after song, finally, you realize that your listening skill as well as your pronunciation is better than 3 days ago. you also remember some new words from the song. I think there is nothing more interesting and relaxing in this world than learning English in that way.
So, why don't you try learning English as the second way? You just need to spend a little bit time every day to learn a new song. And I bet you will very surprised with the result.
